Action buttons now let you control whether users can edit status changes—ensuring your workflows stay consistent and preventing accidental modifications.
What's New
When setting up action buttons that change lead status, you now have an "Allow editing" option. This lets you decide whether users can modify the status when they click the button, or if they must accept the default status you've defined.
How It Works
When configuring an action button that sets status:
- Allow editing: No – Users must accept your predefined status. No modifications allowed.
- ✏️ Allow editing: Yes – Users can change the status before confirming the action.
When to Use This
🔐 Lock down critical workflows – For buttons like "Complete", "Cancel", or "Archive", set "Allow editing" to "No" to ensure everyone follows your exact process.
🎯 Standardize status transitions – Prevent users from accidentally selecting the wrong status when they're just trying to move a lead forward.
🛡️ Protect company-specific statuses – Keep your custom workflows consistent across your team without manual enforcement.
How to Set It Up
-
Go to Campaign Settings → Action buttons and select or create an action button
-
Add or edit a "Set status" action
-
Set your Default new status (e.g., "Completed")
-
Choose Allow editing: No to lock the status, or Yes to allow changes
The Bottom Line
Small controls make big differences. By locking down status changes on critical action buttons, you ensure consistency, prevent mistakes, and keep your workflows running exactly as designed.
